Denver Opens 3 New Homeless Shelters
Three new Denver homeless shelters have been adding new amenities to better serve homeless people in the community. The shelters involved include the Denver Rescue Mission’s Holly Center, Catholic Charities’ Samaritan House Women’s Shelter, and a new city-owned facility.
Efforts from these three facilities combined have raised the available number of homeless shelter beds by about 300 over the past year. Additionally, new amenities are offered by some, such as electronic charging stations and showers.
