Detroit Health Department Launches Harm Reduction Wellness Stations To Reduce Fatal Opioid Overdoses

The Detroit Health Department in Michigan launched new Harm Reduction Wellness Stations at 25 locations across the city. They offer Narcan and fentanyl test strips to prevent fatal opioid overdoses. Harm reduction supplies to reduce transmission of HIV and other sexually transmitted infections are also available. The city funded the new stations with $250,000 in proceeds from opioid settlement funds.
