Equal Justice USA Announces Four Communities In New Youth Restorative Justice Cohort
Equal Justice USA (EJUSA) is partnering with a cohort of four new communities to launch restorative youth justice diversion programs. The cohort includes Hinds County, Mississippi; Richmond, Virginia; Oakland County, Michigan; and Pulaski County, Arkansas. The programs help justice-involved youth avoid further contact with the justice system while still creating an accountability process that identifies root causes and provides an opportunity for healing, both for the person harmed and the person who has caused harm.
