Lycoming County, Pennsylvania Planning A 170-Bed Regional Juvenile Justice Center

Lycoming County, Pennsylvania is planning to open a 170-bed regional juvenile justice center in 2026. The center would accept youth statewide and youth from out-of-state.

Before moving forward the county commissioners requested a feasibility study to better determine the cost and details of building the facility. They have already committed $45,000 for the study, and the Lycoming County District Attorney Tom Marino is raising matching funds for the feasibility study. Local, state, and federal officials are involved in the planning.
