Meridian In Michigan & Centene Foundation Grant $1.1 Million To Neighborhood Service Organization 

Michigan insurer Meridian, a unit of Centene, and the Centene Foundation, granted $1.1 million to the Neighborhood Service Organization (NSO), an integrated health and human service agency based in Detroit. It will use the funding for its Medical Respite program.  

The NSO offers comprehensive health care, social support and job training to individuals experiencing homelessness. The medical respite program is focused on those who are too frail or ill to recuperate from a physical illness or injury in an unhoused environment but who do not require hospitalization.
