New York Managed Medicaid Plan From Fallon Health Weinberg Shutting Down
New York-based Medicaid plan operator Fallon Health Weinberg (FHW) notified the state it is closing a long-term Medicaid managed care plan and laying off 31 employees between December 15, 2023, and January12, 2024. New York set new requirements mandating all health plans to offer a Medicare Advantage Dual Eligible Special Needs Plan by 2024, and FHW said it was unable to meet that deadline and chose to end the program. ;
