People Inc. To Receive $2 Million In Federal Funding Expand Telehealth For Seniors & People With Disabilities In Western New York

Western New York-based People Inc. will receive $2 million through the federal 2023 budget to expand and improve its telehealth services for older adults and people with disabilities. The funding was secured by Congressman Brian Higgins (NY-26).

For its telehealth service, People Inc. partners with Virtual Medical Care. To serve people who are deaf or hard of hearing, People Inc.’s program Deaf Access Services provides American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation skills, which are incorporated into virtual visits, eliminating communication barriers for individuals with hearing challenges.
