ReWalk Announces Cigna As First Private U.S. Insurer To Adopt National Policy Change For Coverage Of Personal Exoskeleton Devices

ReWalk Robotics, Ltd. (ReWalk) recently announced that Cigna is becoming the first private U.S. health insurer to adopt national policy change for coverage of personal exoskeleton devices. Submissions for such coverage to Cigna from beneficiaries with spinal cord injury will now be considered by the health insurer on a case-by-case basis.

The official policy change—while technically in effect—will officially be reflected in Cigna’s updated policies some time around or during the third quarter of 2019.
