SCAN Group Launches ‘Healthcare in Action,’ New Medical Group Focused On Serving Homeless Medicare Advantage Members

SCAN Group, whose holdings include SCAN Health Plan, a large not-for-profit Medicare Advantage plan, launched Healthcare in Action, a new medical group that will provide health care and other services to older adults experiencing homelessness. The new medical group, led by Michael Hochman, M.D., a primary care physician as chief executive officer, will serve SCAN Health Plan members as well as members of other health plans. Healthcare in Action will begin providing services on January 1, 2022, in several communities in Southern California.
