Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System To Acquire Two Mary Black Hospitals

Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System (SRHS) recently announced it is acquiring Mary Black Health System (MBHS). It is anticipated that the acquisition will officially close by the end of the fourth quarter of 2018.

The transaction will see SRHS acquiring the following two hospitals:

Mary Black Memorial Hospital, out of Spartanburg, South Carolina
Mary Black Hospital, out of Gaffney, South Carolina

It is anticipated that all employees in good standing at the time of the purchase will remain employees under SRHS. The acquisition, once complete, will see SRHS operating six hospitals throughout the counties of Cherokee, Spartanburg, and Union.
