Tandem Diabetes Care Completes Acquisition Of Insulin Patch Pump Developer, AMF Medical

Tandem Diabetes Care, Inc., (Tandem) completed its previously announced acquisition of AMF Medical SA, which is developing an "patch pump" for insulin delivery. Tandem also provides insulin delivery and diabetes technologies. The announced deal value was $216 million.

Tandem manufactures and sells the t:slim X2 insulin pump with Control-IQ technology. AMF Medical is developing the Sigi™ Patch Pump, a rechargable patch pump, a new technology that uses pre-filled insulin cartridges. The Sigi Patch Pump is not commercially available yet.
