The Texas Health & Human Services Commission (the Commission) has proposed double-digit cuts to Medicaid provider reimbursements. The proposed cuts, if approved, would be implemented on October 1.

Specialty service areas, such as radiation oncology and dentistry, would take the largest cuts. The state selected these services because the reimbursement rates were higher than in other states.
