U.S. Department Of Veterans Affairs, Walmart Team Up To Offer Telehealth Services
The U.S. Department Of Veterans Affairs (VA) and Walmart are collaborating to provide telehealth services to consumers. The efforts will specifically target underserved veterans, aiming to improve their access to care by means of telecommunications technology.
Through the partnership, telehealth services will initially be piloted at specific Walmart locations, which will be announced in the future. The collaboration will allow the VA—which experienced 900,000 telehealth visits in 2017—to expand its ability to provide such technological services, as well as allow Walmart to expand its footprint in the health and wellness market.
