University Of Minnesota Grant Allows Mental Health Services Expansion

The University of Minnesota has received a $2.1 million grant from the Health Resources and Services Administration to expand mental health services to underserved parts of the state. In a partnership with the Amherst H. Wilder Foundation, Touchstone Mental Health, and Northern Pines Mental Health Center the grant will be used to train students and provide mental health and primary care to rural Minnesota and consumers with limited access. The effort will employ telehealth technology to support service delivery.
