UVA Health System To Leverage Telehealth For Chronic Disease Care
Charlottesville, Virginia-based University of Virginia Health System (UVA Health) recently announced it expanding its current telehealth initiatives—as well as adding new telehealth initiatives—centered on chronic disease management.
Included among the new telehealth initiatives will be remote monitoring capabilities for consumers with diabetes, screenings for individuals with diabetic eye disease, and cardiac rehabilitation programs for individuals who have experienced heart failure. UVA Health will also create new training courses to assist caregivers in identifying and treating chronic diseases, among other new efforts and initiatives.
