UW Medicine Launches 150-Bed Center For Behavioral Health & Learning
UW Medicine opened its new Center for Behavioral Health and Learning on the campus of UW Medical Center – Northwest. The $244 million facility adds 150 total beds to increase behavioral health care capacity. ;
UW Medicine said the site is intended to serve as an interdisciplinary training and workforce development program. This program is focused on supporting Washington’s behavioral health professional workforce.
In April 2024, the site’s Garvey Institute Center for Neuromodulation opened. It provides electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) to both outpatients and inpatients.; ;
