The Recent Winners In Foster Care Contracting
Foster care services have been on my mind since the recent OPEN MINDS coverage of the question about sheltering foster youth (see Is Sheltering Foster Youth Akin To Incarceration?) and the issues that have come up with the various initiatives to privatize the foster care system (see Just Say No).
A query of our database of government agency contracting for foster care services reveals that there were 58 requests-for-proposals (RFP) for foster care related services in 2014. (So far in 2015, there are 24.) These RFPs cover a broad category that is focused on foster care, but also . . .
