January 1, 2010 The Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) awarded grants in 2008 to 23 counties planning or implementing treatment alternatives to jails, prisons, and state forensic hospitals. Of the 23 grants, 11 were implementation grants with an overall value of $2.8 million. The remaining 12 counties received planning grants.
