Proposed Consent Decree for the Revised Class in Ligas v. Maram
January 6, 2011 On January 11, 2011,the Illinois Department of Human Services filed a compromise settlement agreement that will expand community-based services to 3,000 people with developmental disabilities currently living at home who are not currently receiving services. The agreement will also permit Illinois residents with developmental disabilities to continue to stay in an intermediate care facility-developmental disability (ICF-DD) if their families so desired or move to small community-based settings with the necessary supports.
