Darling v. Douglas
January 9, 2010 On June 26th, 2011, plaintiffs in the Darling v. Douglas class action lawsuit filed a third motion for preliminary injunction against the California Department of State Health Services. Plaintiffs are protesting the stateÂ’s plans to eliminate the Adult Day Health Care program. The plaintiffs want to prevent the state from ending the program unless adequate and appropriate replacement services are provided to prevent unnecessary institutionalization for the approximately 15,000 people receiving adult day services.
