On January 10, 2017, the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS) released this draft waiver. The state intends to submit the waiver by the end of 2017 to seek federal approval to impose the following Medicaid eligibility requirements on "able bodied" adult beneficiaries:

The requirement for all able-bodied adults to either become employed, actively seek employment, or attend school or a job training program.
The requirement for members to verify on a monthly basis compliance with the work requirement, and any changes in family income.
The authority for AHCCCS to ban an eligible person from enrollment for one . . .
