January 14, 2010 Eastern Los Angeles Regional Center (ELARC) entered a settlement agreement on June 15, 2010, that may require ELARC to fund "developmental, individual differences, relationship-based," otherwise known as the DIR model. The settlement agreement included language prohibiting ELARC from terminating or denying funding for DIR treatment programs.
