January 2011 Update of the Hospital Outpatient Prospective Payment System

January 24, 2011 The update revised the Medicare hospital outpatient prospective payment system (OPPS) that revised per diem rates for Medicare partial hospitalization programs (PHP) provided at hospitals and at community mental health centers. The revised rates for each setting are based only on claims data for PHP services provided in that setting. Previously, all PHPs received a similar per diem rate. Download the Report . . .
