Minnesota Senate File 1 Of 2017

On January 30, 2017, the Governor of Minnesota signed this bill relating to health care coverage into law. The bill includes provisions to:

Provide a temporary program to help pay for health insurance premiums;
Require audits by the legislative auditor;
Modify requirements for health maintenance organizations, provisions governing health insurance, and a tax provision;
Authorize agricultural cooperative health plans, and transition of care coverage for 2017; and
Amend various 2016 Minnesota Statutes and Laws.

The provisions of the law will go into effect at varying dates . . .
