New Jersey Senate Bill 3 Of 2017, To Require Insurance Coverage Of Addiction Treatment

On January 30, 2017, the New Jersey Senate published this bill regarding state-funded addiction treatment. The Bill is a committee-amended version which requires health insurance plans to provide unlimited benefits for inpatient and outpatient treatment of substance use disorders at in-network facilities for treatment of substance use disorders; would place certain restrictions on the prescription of opioid and certain other drugs; and would require health care clinical professionals to attend related continuing education classes . . .
