Michigans Response to CMS Solicitation: State Demonstrations to Integrate Care for Dual Eligible Individuals
January 31, 2011 The Michigan Department of Community Health has proposed integrating health care services for citizens eligible for both Medicare and Medicaid (dual eligibles), and submitted the plan to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). The plan calls for the state to establish a single contractual relationship between the payers (Medicare and Medicaid) and an entity responsible for delivering integrated health care and quality assurance services. By integrating care for dual eligibles, the state seeks to reduce administrative costs. If approved, the target date for implementation for this project is April 1, 2012. Download the Report . . .
