February 1, 2011 In December 2010, Nebraska Governor Dave Heinemann had proposed a five percent Medicaid reimbursement rate cut; in its February 2011 preliminary report the legislative appropriations committee reduced the cut to four percent. On April 5, 2011, the Nebraska legislatures appropriations committee voted to propose a three- percent cut in Medicaid reimbursements for fiscal years 2011-2012 and 2012-2013, but spare behavioral health and aging services provider organizations and those providing primary care services, child care, child welfare, juvenile services, or to services for individuals with developmental disabilities.
