February 2, 2010 In the lawsuit, Talbott, et al., vs. Lakeview Center, Inc., the plaintiffs, child welfare caseworkers, alleged that Lakeview Center deliberately misclassified them as Fair Labor Standards Act (FSLA)-exempt professionals in order to avoid paying overtime. The plaintiffs sought compensation for hours worked in excess of 40 hours per week from 2002 through 2006.
