In this report released February 13, 2018, the Nevada legislative auditor presented findings about community-based living arrangement (CBLA) homes for adults with mental illness. The auditor sought to determine if the state Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Division of Public and Behavioral Health (DPBH), the Clinical Services Branch used adequate controls to monitor the safety of CBLAs. After reviewing state documentation and visiting 37 homes, the auditor determined that DPBH did not provide adequate oversight.
