Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System Announces Award Of Contracts For Its Arizona Long-Term Care System Program For Individuals Who Are Elderly And/Or Have A Physical Disability

On March 3, 2017, the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AZHCCCS) announced it had awarded contracts for its long-term care system program for individuals who are elderly and/or have a physical disability. These Medicaid long-term care managed care services were awarded in three geographic service areas to Banner-University Family Care, Southwest Catholic Health Network Corporation dba Mercy Care Plan, and UnitedHealthcare Community Plan. The new contracts begin October 1, 2017 and run for up to seven years.
