March 15, 2011 A report by the Alzheimer's Association found that about 67% of family caregivers for persons with Alzheimer’s disease said they were concerned about cognitive impairment in their loved ones as the condition progressed. Memory loss was a key concern for 41% of caregivers; the person’s personal safety was a concern for 33%; and increasing confusion was a concern for 27%.
