2011 Alzheimer’s Disease Facts and Figures
March 15, 2011 A report by the Alzheimer's Association found that about 67% of family caregivers for persons with Alzheimers disease said they were concerned about cognitive impairment in their loved ones as the condition progressed. Memory loss was a key concern for 41% of caregivers; the persons personal safety was a concern for 33%; and increasing confusion was a concern for 27%. More than half, 55% said caregiving tasks had taken a toll on their health; and 60% said they felt overwhelmed. Download the Report . . .
