March 24, 2010 New Mexico was awarded $7.0 million over four years to support planning and development for a Health Information Exchange (HIE). The New Mexico Health Information Collaborative (NMHIC) is also funded by a $6.1 million award to serve as a regional extension center in cooperation with other organizations.
