Bill H.R. 1839, also known as the Medicaid Services Investment & Accountability Act, was passed on April 3, 2019. The bill temporarily extends the applicability of Medicaid eligibility criteria that protect against spousal impoverishment for recipients of home- and community-based services (HCBS).
