Arizona Medicaid Dual Eligibles Capitated Financial Alignment Demonstration Withdrawal Letter

On April 10, 2013, Arizona Medicaid notified the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) that the state was withdrawing its proposal to participate in the CMS Capitated Financial Alignment Demonstration for individuals eligible for both Medicare and Medicaid. Instead, Arizona Medicaid plans to improve the system for dual eligible members through the current managed care model, and greater leverage of the Medicare Advantage Special Needs Plans for Dual Eligibles (D-SNPs).
