April 16, 2010 Since January 2010, compliance monitoring teams approved by the United States Department of Justice (DOJ) and Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services (DADS) have been conducting baseline reviews. At the San Antonio State Supported Living Center, monitoring teams found the facility had eliminated the use of physical restraints for individuals in behavioral or psychiatric emergencies.
