April 24, 2010 The Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) released a presentation about its plans to redesign the foster care system. DFPS seeks to correct imbalances in the geographic distribution of services and provider organizations; additionally an insufficient number of residential services provider organizations offer a full continuum of services.
