WellPoint Comments on the MHPAEA IFR

May 3, 2010 Wellpoint commented on the Interim Final Rules (IFR) for the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act of 2008 (MHPAEA) and needed clarification from the federal government on issues they discovered. Wellpoint discovered 75% of their health plans needed modifications to comply with the MHPAEA IFR. Wellpoint also recommended a delay in the compliance deadline from July 1 to October 1, 2010.
