The notice, dated May 8, 2018, is a letter by the Louisiana Department of Health written to inform certain Medicaid beneficiaries that the legislature had made program changes that were likely to affect ongoing beneficiary eligibility. The DOH sent the letter to nearly 37,000 Medicaid beneficiaries enrolled in the Provisional Medicaid, Medically Needy, Medically Needy Spenddown, or Long-Term Care Special Income programs that the programs may end as of July 1, 2018.
