SEIU 1199 ResCare Settlement Agreement & Notices
May 11, 2010 In response to a complaint filed by ResCare group home employees in West Virginia who sought to opt-out of membership in the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) local 1199, the National Labor Relations Board negotiated this settlement agreement. The union was not charged with breaking any laws. Union officials agreed to mail notices to all ResCare employees in West Virginia explaining employees' rights to opt-out of full-dues paying union membership.
