On May 23, 2016, the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) finalized regulations on the updated base wage for the overtime exemption of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). Salaried employees who provide professional, managerial, administrative, executive, outside sales, or information technology work will be eligible for overtime if they earn less than $913 per week and work more than 40 hours in a week.
