Maine Child Welfare Overview

The report was released on May 31, 2018, by the Maine Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). The DHHS Office of Child and Family Services (OCFS) conducted the review of the state’s child welfare system in response to the December 2017 and February 2018 deaths of two children in the foster care system.
