Complaint: U.S. v. Louisiana
The federal Department of Justice (DOJ) filed the complaint on June 6, 2018, against the State of Louisiana over the state's reliance on nursing homes as the primary service setting for supportive living services for people with mental illness. In December 2017, the DOJ had issued investigation findings that concluded that the state's reliance on nursing homes violated the Americans with Disabilities Act.
