June 14, 2011 The Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) has reported its investigation results regarding a complaint that staff and management at the Hillandale assisted living facility in Pasco County, Florida failed to protect residents from emotional and physical abuse. The investigation took place June 1, 2011. After reviewing the facility's records and interviewing staff, residents, and the facility administrator, AHCA determined that the complaint was substantiated. As a result, on June 14, AHCA notified the facility and its corporate owner, Mapleway Communities Inc., that Hillandale's Medicaid license would be revoked. Download the Report . . .
