On June 21, 2010, a Scranton, Pennsylvania judge ruled that the Pennsylvania Board of Nursing (PBN) must answer a lawsuit alleging that the organization has an unwritten policy prohibiting licensure for nurses receiving methadone treatment for chronic opioid addiction.
