Proposed Changes to the Hospital Outpatient Prospective Payment System and CY 2012 Payment Rates

July 18, 2011 The proposed rule would also revise the Medicare hospital outpatient prospective payment system and update the revised Medicare ambulatory surgical center payment system. The 2012 Medicare rates for partial hospitalization program services and outpatient treatment provided by community mental health centers will be more than 25% lower than the 2011 rates.
