Proposed Rule: Medicaid Program; State Disproportionate Share Hospital Allotment Reductions

On July 28, 2017, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services proposed this rule, which delineates a methodology to implement to disproportionate share hospitals (DSH) cuts. The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act requires aggregate reductions to state Medicaid DSH allotments annually beginning with fiscal year 2018.
