Oregon DHS Proposed Appropriation Cuts to Seniors & Persons With Disabilities Services
September 1, 2010 The Oregon Developmental Disabilities Services Program has reduced provider rates for Developmental Disability Comprehensive Services (DDCS). The DDCS reductions were due to a statewide effort to reduce spending during the 2009-2011 biennium. The Oregon Department of Human Services (DHS), Division of Seniors and Persons With Disabilities (DSPD) proposed reductions to 26 programs or activities and implemented freezes for certain position; overall, the DSPD reductions are expected to save $78 million in general fund expenditures.
