September 1, 2011 California's proposed settlement agreement in the Katie A. v. Bonta class-action lawsuit will provide intensive home- and community-based mental health services to children with mental health disorders in foster care and to those at risk of removal from their families. The state Medicaid plan will provide Intensive Home-Based Services and Intensive Care Coordination to certain children.
