Michigan DHHS Bulletin MSA 17-27: Removing Medicaid Limit On Psychotherapy Visits

On September 1, 2017, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) released this policy change memo about its intention to remove the 20-visit maximum limitation for psychotherapy services. Restrictions were lifted for both fee-for-service and Medicaid health plan beneficiaries effective for dates of service on or after October 1, 2017.
