New Hampshire DHHS Bureau of Behavioral Health Payment and System Reform Initiative Status Update
September 15, 2011 The New Hampshire Bureau of Behavioral Health (BBH) alerted stakeholders about a change in plans to implement a capitated pre-paid ambulatory health plan (PAHP) to reform financing and free up funding for additional community-based services. However, in October 2011, the state decided to include all Medicaid populations and services, including behavioral health, dual eligibles, individuals with developmental disabilities, and children in foster care, in its October, 17, 2011, request for proposal seeking Medicaid managed care organizations (MCO).
